We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a full-time Events and Digital Marketing Co-ordinator, starting as soon as possible. The Events and Marketing Co-ordinator will form an integral part of the Enterprises and Events team, reporting directly to the Head of Events.

The department is responsible for the commercial hiring of college grounds, spaces and venues when not in use for teaching purposes, alongside running internal and external events and daily college tours. Events include wedding receptions, corporate and private hire, film location hire, residential venue for sports and international groups, sports pitch hire, charity events and “open house” events including the National Garden Scheme (NGS) weekends and Heritage Open Days. The principal role will include assisting with the planning and delivery of these wide range of internal and external events across the year. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the department’s website and social media output, creating and updating content, responding to enquiries whilst creating and scheduling engaging content for the varied audiences the department engage with. The main responsibilities of the role are: • Receiving and managing event enquiries, responding within agreed timelines and structure. • Manage events from initial enquiry, through to delivery and financial reconciliation post event, including some evening and weekend work when required. • Liaising with internal departments as necessary to ensure colleagues are suitably briefed and informed, including the provision of event instructions and risk assessments. • Updating the departments booking and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring all data is managed in line with department procedures. • Managing tour groups, bookings and guides, ensuring all relevant paperwork is maintained to the correct standards, including rotas, training manuals and weekly reports. • Assist with the development of the department website, social media sites and other online presences the department may have now, and in the future. • Update the website with current, meaningful and engaging content to ensure a vibrant and inspiring space for visitors to explore. • To manage social media and customer feedback sites the department has or develops in the future. • To help increase the website’s online presence through relationships with relevant and associated organisations. • To undertake any other role within the department as may be deemed necessary from time to time.
