Reporting to: Commercial Operations Manager
Overall Purpose: To support the Commercial Operations Manager in maximising profitable (non-tuition fee) revenues through the delivery of the schools Commercial Strategy.
The key objective needs to be achieved within the constraints of ensuring the needs of the School’s facilities and core operations are met. Educating the pupils must always take priority in the event of conflict.
Key responsibilities:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Growth of current core revenue streams:
- Knox-Johnston Sports Centre
- Language Schools
- Holiday Camps
- Hires and Lets
- IT Consultancy
- Supporting with the growth and development of new revenue streams:
- Centenary Theatre
- Filming
- Events
- Supporting to develop a commitment across the School to maximising the commercial opportunities
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Operation and management of residential and non-residential courses and camps
- Operation and management of all external hires and lets of School facilities
- Establish a clear understanding of the demands of the School on all marketable facilities and ensure that all commercial use is compatible with day-to-day School usage/requirements
- Liaison with the catering team to ensure smooth administration of catering for events and bookings via the Bluerunner hospitality system
- Develop and maintain relevant contract documentation for hires and lets
- Always ensure careful planning and communication with all stakeholders in relation to commercial projects and events
COMPLIANCE
- Manage and ensure compliance with all relevant licenses (alcohol, music, entertainment)
- Compliance with school policies particularly with regard to safeguarding and health and safety
