Other details:
A non-profit international exchange organisation headquartered in Suffield, Connecticut, USA. We place outstanding international Scholars in independent secondary schools across the U.S. for one academic year. Every August, we host a 5-day orientation program for our incoming class of Scholars ranging in age from 15 to 18 years old.
The orientation program seeks to prepare the Scholars for their year in the USA through a variety of activities, both on and off-campus. We are seeking a location to host this program from August 3-8, 2026. We also hire our own staff, which can number up to 25 people.
Proposed Dates: August 3-8, 2026
Monday, August 3 - Administrators and staff arrive
Tuesday, August 4 – Primary arrival day for Scholars
Wednesday, August 5 – On-campus programming
Thursday, August 6 – On-campus programming
Friday, August 7 - On-campus Programming
Saturday, August 8 – Departure day for all staff and Scholars
Facilities
To host a successful orientation, we require the use of multiple campus facilities including the following:
Residence halls to house students and staff. Linen service would be required, as well.
Dining hall/cafeteria where we would take all meals, which would be prepared by kitchen staff.
Athletic facilities such as playing fields and a gymnasium in which we could conduct orientation/ice-breaking/leadership games, as well as places where students could play sports (soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball) during free time.
Use of 7-8 classrooms that can seat up to 22-24 students and staff for our Class Days.
Auditorium or theater space that can accommodate approximately 200 people for meetings, rehearsals and a final performance event on Friday evening.
“Health center” space and a registered nurse.
A space to use as a staff room, which ideally would be located in close proximity to the dining hall/cafeteria.
While not required, it would also be helpful to have access to a “student union” space for our Scholars to use during their free-time.
