The Schools’ Enterprise Association (SEA) is an independent member-owned members’ organisation providing professional support and guidance for school management who generate commercial revenues through enterprise initiatives.
The SEA includes a Sports & Leisure Chapter, supporting sports’ management teams meet the challenges of running and optimising the return on schools’ sports facilities, and a newly-launched Retail Chapter, helping schools reimagine their school retail offer beyond the traditional school shop.
Services offered through SEA membership include training, networking opportunities, a comprehensive reference library, recruitment, consultancy and the support of professional advisors, all focused on the development of additional revenue streams.
Role overview
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Executive Assistant to support the executive team and provide administrative assistance across all areas of the Association. This key role will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication, and high-quality support for the team in their various projects and initiatives. Ideally, our chosen candidate will be interested in the work of the Association and add value to the internal discussion and debate as we continue our work to support professionals building school’s non-fee revenues.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support across all departments and projects within the Association, working closely with every member of the SEA team.
- Communicate effectively and confidently by email, in-person and by phone with members and partners to include answering membership queries in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely updates.
- SEA Committee management – schedule and coordinate meetings, take minutes and maintain accurate Committee records.
- CRM system:
- Maintain and update the SEA
- Generate reports and lists from the system as required for various purposes
- Websites:
- Update as appropriate both the SEA website and the Beautiful Schools’ website
- Support the planning and delivery of a series of virtual and in-person events and training programmes including managing the SEA bookings system.
- Prepare and format documents and presentations using Microsoft Office, Canva, and Google Workspace.
Key skills & experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace required.
- Experience in Canva, Trybooking (or similar), Mailchimp and Election Runner an advantage.
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g. WordPress or similar) an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or administrative support role is an advantage.
