The Schools’ Enterprise Association is a members’ organisation, which supports more than 120 schools across the UK. We are a young organisation, founded less than 5 years’ ago but we’re entrepreneurial, agile and successfully growing our size and influence in the sector. Currently, we’re a small, flexible fully remote team who work comfortably and happily with each other, but we are missing a crucial team member.

We need the support of a highly organised enthusiastic team player. Could this be you?

You will need to be:

  • Organised: You will be required to help organise us; support the workings of the 10-member SEA Committee made up of representatives of some of the most prestigious schools in the UK; and provide administrative and logistics support for our different events and conferences.
  • IT literate: We work on Google sheets (yup, they work for us!); Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Canva, Zoom and a few more and you will be familiar and adept at the use of most of these applications and willing and quick to learn new ones.
  • A team player: Working remotely, we need you to tune in to the team’s needs and stay a step ahead, offering that helping hand before we ask or, dare we suggest it, it’s too late!
  • Flexible: We don’t dictate how or when you work but we do have busy periods and some downtime. We need our team’s support when we’re busy and we hope you have something else fun to occupy you when we’re not. We don’t need to be your only client but we will need the equivalent of about 1 day a week of your time to start with but as the Association is growing so rapidly, you will have more time available for us as you grow into the position.
  • Attentive to detail: We support our members in becoming the best they can be and we expect no less of ourselves. Attention to detail – beautifully crafted emails are a must – is very important to us and should be to you too.
  • Fun: We are a small team and we like to laugh and enjoy what we do – you’ll want to come to work because you find it enjoyable.
  • Remote: You will be set up to work remotely and able to work efficiently and effectively from the comfort of your home. We will meet at least once a month in-person in London, normally at the Institute of Directors on Pall Mall, which will be an easy, expensed commute for you.

The role:

You will be the remote organiser of a high functioning team of passionate professionals.

Your role will include but will not be limited to:

  • Calendar and diary set up and management for the CEO and the SEA Committee.
  • Member record-keeping in support of our Membership Manager.
  • Event organisation from invitation to thank you’s and everything in between.
  • Meeting minuting using a combination of recorded Zoom meetings and supporting documentation to track decisions and actions arising.
  • And much more besides!
