Wellington College is one the UK’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation.  Situated within the grounds of the College in Crowthorne, Berkshire, is the Wellington Health & Fitness Club which is primarily responsible for supporting the College’s PE and Sports programme throughout the year whilst also acting as a private members club serving circa 1800  members of the local community. 

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join the Club in order to partner with the College’s Co-curricular team to develop the Health and Fitness Club provision, ensuring its continual service excellence and position for growth. 

This is a senior management role responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of the Wellington College Health and Fitness & Real Tennis Clubs including maintaining a high-quality customer service delivery. This will include working in partnership with College staff to develop a strategy and budget for growth designed to maximise commercial opportunities whilst leading and managing a diverse and multifunctional team of approximately 100 permanent, temporary, full time, and part time staff. 

The successful incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the Club including profit and loss accounting, strategy, stakeholder engagement, financial & Management controls, IT and marketing to facilitate growth.
